While I’m running for City Council — not School Board — our public schools matter deeply to the future of Norfolk. They represent nearly a third of the city’s budget, and recent state evaluations show we must do better.

Strong schools shape where families choose to live, where businesses choose to invest, and whether our community grows or falls behind. As a parent of two children in our public school system, I will work closely with the School Board to ensure accountability, transparency, and a sense of urgency — because our children’s future cannot wait.
